Has your pup been drinking more than usual? If so, please take him to the vet. I have a Bichon that started this and after taking him to the vet I found out he was diabetic. I am not saying this is so for your little one, but usually when a dog has been housetrained for a long time and suddenly has accidents it points to a medical reason, not emotional. It may ease your mind as well either way to rule out any medical reasons. Could also be an infection.
