 Yorkie won't eat!!!
Our Yorkie is named Roxy and she is almost 16 months old. I've had her at the vet off and on for the last 10 days. She initially spent a day vomiting when we took her to the vet. She was diagnosed as having Pancreatitis and after three days her enzyme levels were normal. Since then she has volunteered to eat very little and has lost nearly 2 pounds (initial weight 9.4 pounds, current weight 7.6 pounds). She is currently at the vet and he has been able to maintain her weight through force feeding. Barium x-rays indicate no obstructions within her digestive system and the vet sems stumped. Roxy does have BMs with her force feeding and other than her unwillingness to eat, she seems to be normal (under weight, but normal). The vet plans to consult with Kansas State University to see if they have any ideas why Roxy won't eat, but I'm placing this post to see if someone else has experienced this problem. I'm getting nervous about finding a solution and I don't want to lose her. |
