I'm so sad that you and your family are going through this difficult time....and your poor baby....how tough it is when they're ill and they can't tell us what's wrong.
I agree wholeheartedly with those who said that he's throwing up bile. I went through this with my terrier mix that we had before Topher. She would get mild bouts of pancreatitis and vomit bile. It had a very strong odor (very strong!) and sometimes yellow in color.
I hope you find the answer to his problems and that he's able to recouperate.
On the other hand, please don't feel guilty...you have done a wonderful job with your baby and have been a beautiful mom to him. I would sit down with a vet you trust and ask hiim/her honestly, bluntly, what his chances are of a full recovery....and what they would do if they were in your position.
