Personally, I charge about the same, males or females. I may consider a slightly lower price on a male I am looking for a good pet home for, if he is maybe on the bigger side or is considerably older as he isn't working out for the show rings as I might have hoped.
Females are more in demand and many do not want to consider a male. Somehow I just don't have the luck to have more females born or available for pet homes than males.
BTW all puppies are sold under nonbreeding contracts if I trust you and you live in my area. I still only sell in my area pretty much but will wait it out and have the spay/neuter done before I sell it after extensive interviews.
I do not consider any of my puppies sold for pet to be breeding material for someone who just wants to breed. |
