Did I understand the reason you can't do the weekend is so that you can meet with the vet? Since its so far away and it won't be your permanent vet, why do you have to do that?
Maybe your breeder would forgo that step or let you make a conference call if she knew it was creating a hardship for you. Can't hurt to ask...
