As some of you may know, my Lola had orthopedic surgery last Tuesday. Her leg has 5 screws and a plate in it now. Here's my problem... The doctor wants her movements restricted. While I am at work, I have her in a pen large enough for her bed, food, and her pee pad. While I am home, I let her be free with limitations. There are gates up so that she can not run in her favorite places. The problem is that when I get home I can here her outside barking and whining. She has never been couped up like this and by the time I get home, she is wild. The doctor said we can give her a mild sedative if need be. Do you guys think that I am wrong if I sedate her? My boyfriend thinks we should not give her any drugs. What do you guys think?
