I just wanted to say that it is wonderful that you are considering opening your home to an animal that really needs it.
I believe most humane societies and rescue agencies assess their dogs for personality and behavioral traits. They can recommend a dog for you that is good with cats. I wish you the best in whatever you decide and welcome to YT!!
