Our little girls don't rip the puppy pad but the holder of which is similar to the one you show in your photo we have in a white frame. We only used it in the RV but not at home as we were always tripping on it. We've never had that chewing problem you're having. Good luck and I hope your babies don't try to 'dig in' anymore. We bought ours at Drs. Foster & Smith about 7 yrs. ago. We've always had puppy pads for them as it shows up right away if they get any sort of urinary tract infection and thats caught early. That happened a couple of times and I was so glad that the pads paid for themselves. If we had them going outside we wouldn't know about any infections and who knows what would have developed by then. Good luck with your pups.
