What do you do with your yorkies when you go on holiday?

I dont like the idea of putting one into a kenal, I dunno, maybe I should be more trusting.

I dont go abroud often atall but I'm going to need something to do with my yorkie (if I get one) when I do.

My second question is about general travelling. I dont even know if can take dog's on trains. Can you? Its not something I've ever thought about before but what modes of transport are applicable to yorkies? And do they mind travelling? I would love to take my yorkie to Wales, where I stay with dog owners who wouldnt mind an extra one running about, the problem is getting there (I dont drive).
