I think raw hide is ok IF AND ONLY IF you supervise the pet while they have it. I, too, worry about when the rawhide gets small. I will usually throw it away when I see it getting that way. Rawhide is said to be rough on a dogs stomach and not all that digestible. So If you have a puppy, I suggest stearing clear until he's older.

Pig ears? They're alright but agian I would like to stress supervision with them. They can shard off in sharp pieces in the dogs mouth. but they are more gentle on the dogs stomach then rawhide.

I suggest Booda Cornstarch Bimples and Velvet Chews. They're digestible, they crumble rather then shard off, and come in a variety of flavors ranging from bacon, chicken, peanut butter, etc.

Soft treats I recommend Bil-Jac, Pup Corn(comes in peanut butter or chedder) and Tigger loves Canine Carryouts (bacon strips), they work great for training.

Hard treats I recommend Marro bone by Milkbone, anything by Old Mother Hubbord and bully sticks.
