Unhappy Do baby yorkies get sore like kids after vaccinations?

My little Sebastian went to the vet today and had shots. He's acting pitiful. I would almost swear he had tears in his eyes. When I pet him, especially his back left hip, he looks back at his leg really quick like it hurts him. A friend of mine took him for me because I was at work and I am assuming the vet gave his shots in the left leg. He's not bearing weight on that leg either. He won't play, just curls up in his little bed and whines. (I worried at first that my 3 year old may have stepped on him or something while I was in the other room)
When I picked him up to love on him, he turned his head from me and acted mad at me! He also kept squirming to get down, which he has never done. He usually loves to be held. I wonder if I'm reading too much into his actions. It amazes me when an animal displays such personality and feelings. Does anyone have any reassurance for me that it's only the vaccinations that is making him act like this... Have other people's dogs done similar things after shots?
