She will know before you do. Watch for her to lay on her back around your male....my female Yorkie does this even to my neutered Rottie. She starts doing this even before I notice swelling. You should keep a very close eye on her....swelling should start in about a week. In case you forgot, the whole process takes atleast 3 weeks. My Tiah just gets sweeter during this time.
