Thanks for your reply. The vet showed me with his hands or rather fingers what the size was compared to what the size was of another female that I had palpated by him and they are 10 days apart in due dates. The one that is farther along had babies like the size of a fingernail or so. This one was like half the size of a golf ball. He wants to make sure that he's not missing something or possibly looking at something other than a puppy. I'm just so worried about her and I am going tomorrow for more extensive tests. I just want to know of others that have had their female have only one pup and everything was ok. Did they do anything special with the female as far as diet, etc?
Edited to say that the vet thought that it was quite large for this stage. |
