It's tricky isn't it. I have this problem with my overweight cat eating the puppy's food. I suggest you feed them apart-hard if you are free feeding the puppy. Perhaps you could feed the pup in the puppy pen or crate-what ever you are using. Is your older dog getting enough exercise? Perhaps you or a family member could walk her on her own each day so she gets a decent run and some 1-1 time.Or play fetch. I'd imagine she would do a bit of playing with the pup.It all helps. I can't take the cat on long walks! :-(
