Love

i taught Oliver "paw" (i had it in my head that there were too many "s" sounds to remember- sit, stay, speak, spin.... so I opted for paw lol) Anyways. It was hard to just get him to sit and grab his paw because he would stay attacking my hand or jump away or be looking for a treat. SO i had a treat in my left hand held in front of his mouth. He was allowed to nibble at it- then I took his paw and said "paw". We progressed from there soon not lett him nibble on the treat (I keep the treats behind my back till he gives paw) He got it really quick- 10-15 minutes later he would sit and raise his little paw.
It made me wonder though- do dogs have a dominant paw? I started using his right paw but he kept trying to give me both paws until i used his left paw. He was find with just giving me the left... haha.. is that just me?)
GOOD LUCK!!!!
