I don't know how to keep the wiggle worms in place when their little, but I started early with Merlot(he's 3 now). He used to try and get away as soon as he saw the brush and scissors come out, but now he comes over and puts his head on my lap. It might be all the treats he get's afterwards for putting up with it! Another thing might be to take little breaks if he starts getting to restless.
