something to consider... many domestic slaughterhouses, in the process of slaughtering the livestock, will stun the animal so it's unconscious then hang it by it's hind legs and slit its main artery (ie throat), draining the animal of its blood as it dies. stunning the animal before the kill was considered more humane. however, in the Jewish and Muslim custom, it's against religious laws to consume animals that's unconscious prior to the slaughter. so the animal must be conscious at the point of death. which means hanging a live conscious pig upside down, slit its throat, allowing it to die from the bleeding then continue the meat processing. something to consider the next time one buys "kosher meat". if this method of meat processing disgusts you, shall you protest and tell people of Jewish and Muslim religions they cannot have meat prepared as required by their religious laws? do you think it's within your right to do so? |
I haven't told them anything..i recall coming on here stating my opinion...and yes ti did sign the petition..just as I would if it was a chicken being inhumanely treated..what did you think i'd think it was ok to mistreat a chicken? think not..eat what you want i dont' care..but humanely house, and care for these animals as well as humanely kill them..that's all i'm saying..if you want to eat bugs..by all means munch away..
