well I hope you have a job that pays you more than 80 cents an hour, you are missing the point...sorry.
I am glad you you got a healthy puppy, but many dont, or they end up being well outside of the standard. I also offer a fantastic gaurnetee, and send my puppies to their new home everything they need to begin with. Yes, on this litter I am looking to make some money, but the time, money and effort that goes into these guys is a lot, and I am down to being paid 80 cents an hour for my time. Not to mention the fact that Bridget had 4 puppies, many have one , two or possibly three puppies. Had Bridget had one puppy I would have been in the hole well over 1000 bucks.
I think it is wrong of you to think that because I charge what I do, that I am ripping people off. Honestly I am charging far less than many breeders, around here, I am extreamly well price esp with what I do extra.
If you got a standard size, healthy puppy, with a good gaurntee, and a purebred yorkie consider yourself one of the few lucky ones, many dont, and for prices like that have unpaper dogs that you really dont know if they are what you paid for. I actully know of one person who spent 2500 on a dog, only to find out they were lied to and when they got the paper found out not only was the dog not akc, but a few generations back was mixed with a chi. to reduce its size.
DOnt critize when 1, you dont understand, and 2, you have no first hand idea what it takes to raise these babies. The price is also only making me money if I do sell them, and as most breeders will tell you, giving these guys up is like giving up a child. I would place it in a home for free if it was the right home and they had not the means, but I also have people who know what they will get, and reccomend me to others.
