Breeding definitely take a lot if you are good breeder and caring. My dad never made a dime when he bred his Pitbulls. But you have these folks that breed and don't do half of the things you mentioned. I don't feel that those people are about much other than the buck.

I am glad to see/hear that there are good breeders out there like yourself. Makes me feel better for the people that will be purchasing in the future.
