Yes, ear mites are contagious. However if they both already have it, then what's the point in separating them now? Just treat them both for it at the same time and you should be able to get it zapped with no problem. Most of my dogs have come to me with mites. It's almost a given that they'll come here with it. First thing I do is pull the hair and clean the ears, then start treating with Eradimite. Before long, they don't have mites anymore.
