My pup ruined his first two collars - chewed on them and totally ruined them. He didn't eat them - but probably would have if I hadn't noticed them and taken them away from him. (These collars were "nylon" --not leather.)
I have seen my "carpet" in his poop -- and parts of a small ball that he ate as well.
They'll eat almost anything - right!
