With my Ginger that passed this last summer at 15, she pretty much lived on the kitchen table in her basket. I started this when she was yound because I was afraid that she would be killed by my daughter and her friends running around and stomping accidentally on her. She liked being up with us and I loved her there too.
I don't have children around anymore so that won't happen anymore but I do groom there. It's easy and they aren't dirty anyway
