update:
Just got back from vet. The reason they think she is coughing more is the found that she has swallowed a small sliver of metal.it may have scratched her esophagus. I make jewelry so I think it may be a piece of metal I cut from a earring post that got in the carpet and I missed it. The xrays also showed a possible enlarged heart. Not sure but a specialist is going to look at the xrays asap. I take her back monday morning.
