Thinners work really great for trimming the hair that sticks up in front of their eyes. You can get them at Petsmart or Petco and maybe beauty supply places also. They have blunt ends so you are less likely to poke your baby and results look more natural than regular sissors. I don't like to use electric clippers on yorkie faces. It's really easy to control how much hair you remove with the thinners and there is no scary buzzing noise like the clippers. There really is no reason to be afraid to do minor trimming on your own yorkie. Remember, it's just fur and will grow back. Just be conservative. You can always cut more off.
