I can relate to your concerns! I also brought my Yorkie, Chewie into the home where Elmo (15 yr. old Doxie)had been king. He seemed good with Chewie until the pup started to nip and bite to get him to play. They would play for a while then Elmo would have enough and want to stop, but Chewie didn't understand and it would turn into an all out fight. They do play but never unsupervised and it has been 5 months. Elmo has long floppy ears and a tail! Chewie has neither and finds them fun to play with! Elmo is the Aplha but Chew has trouble with that, still being a puppy. Just keep watching and hopefully our babies will learn to play without the mean stuff. |
