oh man. that's terrible. poor little zoe, i hope she's okay. where we live in london, there are loads of people who walk their dogs off lead and they're invariably one of the bull terrier breeds. i've had badger now for four weeks and been walking him for two but every walk is a constant watch out for a staff or another type of terrier. what's frightening is that these dogs can't be kept under control by a grown man let alone the kids that walk them. i shudder to think what would happen if one got hold of my little boy. just the other day i walked past a shop (without badger) and out of nowhere this staff came right past us, no lead and no owner in site. imagine if i'd been walking my puppy! staffs are notorious for going after yorkies especially in parks round here
i've thought about carrying pepper spray or a tazer but both are illegal here. i will say though that if another dog ever goes for badger, i'm likely to get very, very angry and i won't be responsible for what happens to that dog or their owner
