She could be a broker or she could by lying to you. Lots of people that run puppy mills will have their adults way away from your view and they WILL say they are selling other peoples pups. Were there any big buildings on the property? Any sheds? Any buildings that looked like chicken coops? Is there anyway you could see the whole place? You could think you are talking to a nice farm couple and the whole time behind their barn they could be hiding the parents.. I would call your humaine society and alert them to this. They could start and investigation.
