Welcome to the group. I can't help you as I live on the East Coast but would like to caution you about buying a dog sight unseen from the internet. Many people have been taken that way. Some people will post other peoples' photos on the net as if they are theirs to sell. Some people don't even have dogs to sell and will just take your money.
I know many people buy dogs and have them shipped but I think this is very risky. If you can't go and pick it up yourself, maybe you don't have time for a pet. You have to do your research so you know what to look for in a puppy. You always hear how you should see the parents, but that may not help much either. An unscrupulous person could show you any dog and tell you it's the mother or father of the puppy you're interested in.
I was lucky as I found my puppy from the second classified ad I called. I went to see her in person and it was love at first site. Her breeder's home was very nice and I wouldn't have minded them adopting me. I did have some prior yorkie experience so I knew what to look for. Good luck in finding the perfect puppy. |
