You could ask her to ring them before you let her out. I ask Loki "Do you need to go OUTSIDE?" and he rings the bells to answer me. It just reinforces it.
However. Please do not expect much from a 13 week old. She probably doesn't even know she needs to go until 2 seconds before she pees. It will come - I promise. Loki is totally outside trained now, even with setbacks he was trained by about the time he was a year old. We had a ton of accidents (mostly our fault, too much freedom) until he was 6 months old, then maybe one a week (again our fault, not enough supervision) until he was a year old when we put up the bells. He's been 100% since we got the bells. You have a headstart since you already have bells. She will do wonderful. |
