You can take a stool sample to the vet and skip the office visit fee since he seems to be doing well otherwise (my vet charges I think $10). Check his gums....if they look too white or too light pink, he has worms or is being drained nutritionally from something else). Some slime occassionally is normal....pink/red is not. However, you are feeding him pink Pepto....that may or may not be the culprit. Hope your little boy is back to normal in no time. Please let us know. In addition, since he has been getting the runs frequently, please supplement him with some Nutrical and make sure he gets plenty of water and doesn't become dehydrated or get low blood sugar.

Tiger will be 6 months old on April fools day. No, I did not completely switch his food. His base food is still the same - Innova Puppy food - dry kibble but I mix some of the Merrick for more flavor. Prior to giving him Merrick I would either add cottage cheese or yogurt and he loves it too. . . basically plain kibble no longer interests him.

I will ask my vet about the stool sample to avoid unnecessary expense. All I know I am completely going crazy out of my mind with worry
