How old is he? Did you slowly switch the food over or all at once (slowly is recommended). Also, was there another stress for him during that time...some other change? Stress can bring this on also. You can take a stool sample to the vet and skip the office visit fee since he seems to be doing well otherwise (my vet charges I think $10). Check his gums....if they look too white or too light pink, he has worms or is being drained nutritionally from something else). Some slime occassionally is normal....pink/red is not. However, you are feeding him pink Pepto....that may or may not be the culprit. Hope your little boy is back to normal in no time. Please let us know. In addition, since he has been getting the runs frequently, please supplement him with some Nutrical and make sure he gets plenty of water and doesn't become dehydrated or get low blood sugar.
