Could Tiger Be Really Sick . . . Please Help! Tiger is having really bad diahrea and I am wondering if anyone has had this experience . . . .
Last week when I introduced him to a new Merrick wet "flavor" that had beef as the main ingredient, he wasn't his usual self in devouring his plate. His stool became slightly soft so I figured that was why he did not have his usual appetite. I gave him some PeptoBismal and he was eventually fine in a day or two. In fact, when we had the trip to Seattle, his stool was back to normal, although his appetite wasn't quite there. Last Monday, he continued to be uninterested with his food so I ended up opening up another grammy's potpie flavor which was his favorite and he suddenly ate every morsel and so I figured he does not care for beef.
Yesterday afternoon, when he pooped, it was completely soft and had portions of clear mucuos white with a tint of red? That got me soooo worried so I gave him some pepto bismal again. He is still his energetic self though and although I am assuming he has diahrea, he somehow can control it as during the time he was in his crate he never soiled it . . . .nor did he do it in bed last night. About 1:30 am he was awake so I took him to relieve himself and again his stool was very wet and there were a couple of drops of clear mucuous . . .that got me really worried as I think it really could be blood?! Again, I gave him some pepto bismal hoping his still stool would improve this morning. It still remains wet and again 2 more drops of the clear mucuos with red tint and this time I see him scooting, which he has never done before. He would also position himself like he wanted to go but nothing would come out . . . . It is a bit early to call the vet so am hoping I can get some answers here at YT . . . . . Could it be serious? He still is in high energy drive though despite what's happening as he and I still played fetch like he normally would any other day . . . . Can someone help? |
