1. Glad you are going to the vet (make sure it is not mites or other little critters)
2. What are you feeding him - this impacts their coat a great deal
3. I am not sure what is in Dream Coat but amino acids will help - I give mine Salmon oil in their food.
4. I would use some bag balm on top of his head - it will be messy but it soothes the skin and has an antiseptic in it.
