If things are proceeding at this pace, I feel it is not an emergency situation. I am hopeful that it is not very serious and can be dealt with with medication and rest.
Everyone is correct when they say that Katie is exactly where she needs to be right now, and it sounds as though she is getting great care. But don't feel bad about calling her doctor yourself if you don't hear from him soon.
