I give my guy a bath about once a week as well and it is the same reason - he starts to get dirty after that long and i like to keep him fresh and smelling clean. Plus he is still a puppy and has not quite learned yet how to lift his leg without peeing on himself. I have baby wipes and wipe him down afterwards but after about a week he starts to smell like pee - yuck!
