I'm sure a dog can live a healthy life being a vegetarian - if you make sure they get all their dietary needs in other foods - but why even go there???

Dogs love meat - and it's natural and healthy for them.

I know a lot of vegetarians who feed their dogs meat - mainly from the dog foods they get.

I feel that meat is one of the healthiest foods I feed my dog. But, they get a wide variety of other foods too.

You know - some dog foods and dog treats are far less healthy than a piece of (poached/boiled) chicken. Chicken is what my dogs get for treats.

If you want your dog to be a vegetarian - no problem - just be sure he gets everything he needs in his vegetarian diet. Poor dog!!
