My hubby is not a "animal" inside the home kind of person. I had begged for an inside dog because I told him with our dtr married (though they live with us) I missed having a little thing in the house to love. I had a hole in my heart. He agreed and we started looking at small poodles. Wanted something i could carry and I have some health problems so a bigger dog was not a good thing for me.
He saw an adult yorkie and had me ask questions and said I could get a yorkie. While he still did not want a "D****D" dog in the house. He is putting up with training though he grumbles a lot. BUT get this: Last night he said he kinda liked the little thing as he picked her up and hugged her. He did say it was cause she was so little as a pup and would probly deny he said it.
I do know he likes to play with her and cuddle her in bed between us on the weekends.
He will come around. It may take the adjusting on both sides and a well trained dog does help.
