My husband is pretty involved in caring for our yorkies.At least 50/50- He gets up in the middle of the night with them if they need to go out (we take turns), he will take them to the vet, he buys them treats and stuff. Last week Mia ate a stick or something and it seemed to be stuck in her throat- he took her to the vet first thing in the morning, then took her to work with him for the rest of day so he could keep an eye on her. He is not a bit ashamed to have one of his "phoo, phoo dogs" with him.
