| Two Funny Tidbits about Sully (yorkie) & Eli (my husband) PREFACE:
Eli and I love going to the local laid-back coffeehouse because:
1. They allow pets, and
2. they own a laundromat, next door
Anyway, we were both out of clean underwear (LAUNDRY EMERGENCY!). So we went last night, and of course, took Sully. Sully, our 8 mo. old yorkie, hardly EVER barks, and is nice to everyone: kids strangers, anyone. OK, STORY #1:
Right before we left for the coffeehouse last night, Eli had a bottle in his hand and blew into it in a way that made a "hummmm" kind of musical noise.....Sully went NUTS! Barking, running around, snarling...it was crazy!
It cracked me and Eli up to no end, and Eli chased Sully around the house while blowing into that bottle, and Sully continued to not just bark but bark a LOT and snarl too, which I've never heard him do.
After a minute the "mommy" in me was alarmed to go rescue my baby. When I found him, he'd peed all over himself. (And he NEVER pees in the house anymore!) Poor boy! He was scared to death of that noise. Why, we don't know. But anyway, it was a funny thing.
And when we got home last night, Sully got a bath before going to bed with us. LOL. STORY #2: This happened just now, so I had to add it...
- I had Sully on my lap and I was scratching behind his ears. I said to him, in a babytalk voice "hunny, are you hungwy for wunch?"
From across the room (my husband was sitting with his back turned) came his booming male voice "Yes, honey, I really am getting hungry for lunch."
I snickered a little to myself and responded "okay, I'll get lunch started" - I didn't have the heart to tell him I was talking to the dog! LOL!! |
