Thanks for the insightful feedback Tashasmom! All the suggestions sound plausable. Unfortunately, the carpeting is already on order---so the tile idea is out. This whole thing saddens me because he is about the sweetest companion anyone would ever want-----By far the most affectionate dog I've ever owned-----or should I say whose ever owned ME!!! LOL
The play area idea has definate possibilities----or maybe closing off the kitchen area. I think I just need to get him a shrink
