Try a peanut butter kong. Why cry when you can lick peanut butter?

Also try a car seat. We had a rental car while our car was in the shop last week and I took out Loki's carseat. We took him on a short trip and he was on my lap (I wasn't driving but I still prefer not to do that) and he was very uneasy. He is so used to his comfy, high, protective car seat that he prefers it to a lap now. I think it makes him feel safer. So, possibly try that??

Loki used to SCREAM in the car if he was in a crate. Once we got him a car seat he was fine and would settle in. Luckily we figured it out when he was about 4 months old so he's used to it, but I think it would help a dog of any age be happy in the car.
