My Chelsie has collapsed Trachea, and has a had the trachea stent surgery.
Our first sign was a honking or snorting...
With four Yorkies, all doing a little coughing or gagging~
I knew her honking was different than a typical reverse cough, etc...
It sounded like a goose honk.

It was hard to get the accurate diagnosis, as many vets and other dog owners automatically assume the other conditions.
If your dogs trachea is collapsing, she will begin to honk more frequently and struggle more and more to catch her breath again.
Summer heat will be hard on her as well, making the condition more obvious.

I'll pray for you that she does not have a collapsing trachea~
It is such a heartbreaking condition.
If you need any more information on the condition, e-mail me anytime.
