I read this and for the most part, rings close to being true. However, every yorkie is different. We have 8 yorkies, 5 girls and 3 boys. They all are different and don't fit completely into any of the descriptions given. I have a female that would lay on my lap and beg to have her belly rubbed 24/7. She has to be near me, next to me, or on top of me. One of our females was very independent from the get-go. One of our males will have nothing to do with me but clings to my husband, another lays around flat on his back all day but when he wants attention, watch out. From my own experiences, about the only difference I can see between male and female yorkies in general is that the male likes to mark their territory. It all depends on the dog, not necessarily the sex.
