This is not a knock at religious people, but I think many people look at religion and God the same way as others look at psychics and think 'what a joke' or 'how can you possibly believe that?'. I don't want to give this thread a religious spin, but I believe that the way some people turn to psychics as a crutch is very similiar to the way that others turn to God as a crutch or a teller-of-all.
