I don't need John Edwards to find peace, I understand some do, but my mother has
visited me. I'd go see him just to see what he'd say....nothing else. I know she's fine, who she's with (not kidding there) and she's with us all the time. That is when she's not busy doing
angel stuff. Come to think of it...angel stuff and watching out for all my
animals 
Btw, have read many of J.E's books....first one I read "crossing over" there were so many instances that he wrote about that I thought OMG, that happened to me. My mother has acknowledged events that occurred after her death.
I am not making this stuff up either......
