I do my own. I've never taken one to the groomer.

I do the light trimming regularly as needed, and in the past on my other yorkies, I did my own version of the puppy cut a couple of times a year.

I just use a scissors and trim it at finger depth all over.

The first couple of times it looked pretty choppy, but I got better at it.

I pick a nice day and do it outside on the picnic table.
