You are absolutely right Kimberly. I wouldn't consider using any male without knowing the pedigree and background including all health issues. Genetic problems can skip generations(s) and so I would need to see the pedigree to know exactly what Yorkies are behind this stud dog (or bitch for any I might purchase).
there have been previous threads on YT about breeder responsibilities if something goes wrong with a pup. As the owner of the sire, you would be contributing 50% of those genes to the offspring. |
