I hope he is ok. I always have a hard carrier in my truck since it has a slot on top for the seatbelt. I carry her in a softsided carrier and switch her to the hard carrier before my vehicle moves. I always seem to have a braking problem lol. When you called the cops you should have satyed behind him and told the cops his location so they can stop him he was probably sleppy and I can bet money his log book was off. They would have given him a ticket and parked him. Many driver drive longer than the law lets them and thats when the accidents happen. I am just glad you were are safe!!!
