I've always groomed my own yorkies, and I learned from looking at pictures and knowing how I like them to look. I use a good pair of clippers and scissors. It really isn't that difficult once you get the hang of it - the first few cuts will probably look a little choppy, but with practice will improve. I give them a modified schnauzer cut - hair longer on the legs and shorter on the body. However, I always make sure the face is all 'yorkie'.
