The biggest problem you may face is that most flights (if you go cargo) won't take dogs from May? to August as it is to hot on the tarmac. My dog has traveled with me in cabin most of the time and had no problem. She didn't like it but was fine. She had to go cargo coming to South Africa because for some reason they don't let them in cabin. No good reason. She was fine. I was nuts but she was fine. The guy loaded her on the plane and then came to me to let me know she was on. When we got to Johannesburg the guy at the airport said to me "What live animal?" I started to cry. I was very tired. She was there. They just didn't know it. Sheese. Travel with dogs is hard. Good luck to you. I have run through airports with her in her cage, 2 suitcase, my backpack and carry on. Not fun but I wouldn't have traded her for anything.
